Tropical Playa

Tropical Playa is located in Playa de las Americas, in the Tenerife region of Canaries. Built in 1985, this 7-storey hotel was renovated in 2002 and includes a total of 189 rooms. The building offers a 24-hour reception in the lobby with a hotel safe, a currency exchange desk, a lift and a café. Additional facilities include a small supermarket, a bar and an air-conditioned buffet restaurant with highchairs for infants. There is also a conference room as well as a children's playground. There is also a laundry service available to round off the hotel's facilities.

This pleasant beach hotel is located on a quiet side street in the outskirts of Playa de las Americas. Sandy Playa de Troya and the town centre are only 450 m away. There are also convenient public transport links close at hand (150 metres away). The international airport is a 15-minute car journey away.

The welcoming studios are fitted with a bathroom, combined living room/bedroom with twin beds, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, piped music, a kitchenette, a fridge, a safe (at an extra charge), a fan, air conditioning and a balcony or terrace. The apartments have a separate bedroom.

In the outdoor complex there is a pool area with sun beds, cushions and parasols; everything is free of charge. There are two swimming pools: one for adults and one separated for children. Both of them are heated during the winter season. There is also a children's playground. In the sport area there is a tennis court and a multi-use sport court prepared for playing volleyball, handball, basketball and mini football. A gym is available for guests to maintain their fitness regimes. Some activities incur an additional fee. The hotel also organises a seasonal entertainment programme to ensure that there is never a dull moment.
