The Bahia Príncipe Resort is formed by two 5 stars hotels (Tulum and Akumal) with a total of 1.440 rooms, the commercial and entertainment center "Hacienda Doña Isabel" and the best variety of services in the Caribbean.
Designed by the prestigious Mexican architect, Fernando Quirarte, and inspired by the Puuc Mayan architectural period, the Gran Bahía Príncipe Tulum HOTEL welcomes its guests with all of Mexican's characteristic warmth. Materials such as stone, talavera pottery, marble, large palapas, hardwoods and an exquisite colour combination make the hotel a cool and harmonious place that is easy to discover and enjoy.
The project was carried out following patterns of sustained tourism in order to make the best use of all the area's resources. The kilometre-long beach is completely natural, and large, manicured gardens will make your strolls around the complex all the more enjoyable. Modern energy-saving and water-processing systems, among others, illustrate the hotel's concern for the environment.
HOW TO GET THERE
The hotel is one hour (by car) from Cancún airport, 30 minutes from Carmen Beach and 20 minutes from Tulum.
From the airport head towards Chetumal, staying on the same federal highway. The hotel is at km 250. You can see Hacienda Doña Isabel from the road and there are large letters with the name Bahía Príncipe.
You can use taxis or public buses to leave the hotel. Cars can also be hired from the offices of the car rental company located in Hacienda Doña Isabel (Advantage Rent a Car).

You can enjoy different gastronomic styles at our five restaurants: the Main Restaurant with international buffet; three speciality restaurants: Mexican, Grill and International Gourmet; and a snack bar with fast food open 24 hours.
You can also visit any of the six bars, all with different styles, located in different parts of the hotel: on the beach, in the swimming pools, in the lobby and in the amphitheatre.
The gastronomic range is completed by the Bars and Restaurants of Hacienda Doña Isabel (charged extra).
Suitable dress is required for access to the main restaurant and diners may not wear swinsuits. Long trousers are also required in the themed restaurants.

Buffet service in a large dining-room with pleasant views, covered by one of the hotel's largest palapas and the decoration that adorns the main hand-carved and painted furniture depicts scenes from Mayan life.
